ABOUT

Pichaya Suriyopas is a 23 year-old Thai filmmaker who was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She graduates from â€‹Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, major in Film and Photography, Thammasat University in 2024.​

​

She is interested in relationship between people from different generations and human emotions realism. She portrays the simplicity of human life through her work in the form of documentary, fiction film and photography.

​

Her first short film "Lullabye" emphasizes on narrating the simplicity of two elderly who are living at the end of life which is inspired by true story of her grandmother. It is an official selection for Microwave Film Festival 2024, part of Pakk Taii Design Week and also received an Honorable Mention in "The White Elephant" section award at The 28th Thai Short Film and Video Festival in 2024. Lullabye later received Runner-Up award at Thammasat Film Festival 2025 and Screening at Chiang Mai Film Festival 2025.

Pichaya currently completed the film project development program 'Content Lab: Newcomers 2025 in Khon Kaen' and is now a freelance filmmaker and editor.
