ABOUT

Pichaya Suriyopas is a 22 year-old Thai filmmaker who was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She graduates from â€‹Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, major in Film and Photography, Thammasat University in 2024.​

​

She is interested in relationship between people from different generations. She portrays the simplicity of human life through her work in the form of documentary, fiction film and photography.

​

Her first short film "Lullabye" emphasizes on narrating the simplicity of two elderly who are living at the end of life which is inspired by true story of her grandmother. It is also an official selection for screening at Microwave Film Festival 2024, part of Pakk Taii Design Week and also get Honorable Mention in "The White Elephant" section award at The 28th Thai Short Film and Video Festival in 2024.

She was an assistant editor intern at Foolhouse Production for four months, participating and learning in a feature film post-production process. She is currently a freelance filmmaker and editor.
